Network Analyzers

The network analyzers designed and developed wholly by ESAM are built to comply with all the modern requirements of measure and control of electrical parameters in single-phase and three-phase networks.
The adoption of the latest generation microprocessors, of a new measuring circuit with autorange, the careful choice of UL recognized components and materials (printed circuit boards, connectors, cases, etc.) and the calibration with ACCREDIA certificated instruments, guarantees the highest precision and reliability in every condition of use.
Our network analyzers can be remotely programmed and monitored using RS485 insulated serial interface or Ethernet; furthermore they are compatible both our software ViewESAM_TCP and other Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP systems.
Each network analyzer is equipped with a user’s guide and labels showing the model, the wiring diagram and technical data.

Transducers

The growing necessity to keep under control the power consumptions needs a device making fast and reliable data acquisition even at a distance: measuring transducers assures these requirements.
The transducers measure electric variables on the energy production and distribution network and give a signal proportional to the measured value. This signal can be sent to several instruments (digital or analog meters, recorders etc.) connected in series.
The adoption of the latest generation microprocessors, the carefully dimensioned transformers (resin insulated), the careful choice of UL recognized components and materials (printed circuit boards, connectors, cases, etc.) and the calibration with ACCREDIA certificated instruments, guarantees to ESAM transducers the highest precision and reliability in every condition of use.
Each transducer is equipped with a label giving the model, the wire diagram and technical data.

Digital Meters

ESAM ID digital meters are designed with the use of the most advanced technology. The adoption of the latest generation microprocessor, the careful choice of UL recognized components and materials (printed circuit boards, connectors, cases, etc.) and the calibration with ACCREDIA certificated instruments, guarantees the highest precision and reliability in every condition of use.
The use of microprocessor allows to obtain several advantages:
  • linearization of particular functions;
  • quadratic scales and square root;
  • customized executions;
  • RS485 insulated serial interfaces.

Using MT ESAM transducers (respective catalogue) and meters of the Process series, it's possible to display all variables (W, Wh, VAR, VARh Cosfi, °C, °F, mt, bar, etc.).

Analog Meters

ESAM analog meters are built made according to CEI 13-6, EN 60051, EN 61010-1 and DIN 43780 standards. The instrument cases are made of non-flammable plastic according UL 94 V-1 or steel plate.
The dimension of the case and the cut out comply with the standard DIN 43700. The frame dimensions of the instruments comply with the standards DIN 43718. The standard color is black RAL 9005. The pointer is made according to DIN 43802.
The interchangeable scale allows appreciable considerable reduction of the storage costs and fast delivery.
It's possible to provide meters for ship mounting and/or tropical climate.
The calibration with ACCREDIA certificated instruments, guarantees the highest precision and reliability in every condition of use.

Solar String Transducers

The use of solar energy, and so of photovoltaic panels, is increasing as a consequence of the growing necessity to find alternative energy sources. In order to keep under control the photovoltaic panels, ESAM have made a series of transducers designed to measure with high accuracy the electrical variables.
These transducers are built in small housings and they monitor the generated voltage, up to 15 string currents (with direct insertion) and allow the connection to solarimeters, anemometers, temperature probes, auxiliary contacts, etc.
All measured variables are accessible through RS485 serial interface with Modbus RTU protocol.
In order to guarantee the highest safety, high levels of insulation (up to 4kV) have been implemented.
The calibration with ACCREDIA certificated instruments, guarantees the highest precision and reliability in every condition of use.

Measuring Transformers

ESAM measuring transformers are built to satisfy the most critical requirements. We can provide a wide range of models covering most installation demands.
The 4000 series current trasformers meet the highest quality standards with more than 50 years experience in industry and are made according to the EN 60044-1, BS 3938, DIN 42600 standards.
High safety is obtained with built-in terminal covers (permitting the lead seal). This execution complies with the VGB4 protection of DIN 57106 standard.
All the current transformers have case in self-extinguishing material and insulation class “E”.
The voltage transformers comply with EN 60044-2 standard, are built in metal case and are fitted with terminal covers (sealable on request).

Shunt - Voltage Dividers

ESAM shunts for direct current meters are built according to CEI 13-6, IEC51, EN0051.
The dimensions comply with the standard DIN 43700.
Accuracy class 0,5 As the shunt dissipates energy, it’s subject to heating. To avoid over-heating it’necessary to clean the contact bar-shunt and tighten bolts firmly.
The shunts are provided with nuts and bolts to fix the shunt to the bar and with 2 screws M5 x 8 DIN 84-4.8 with 2 washers 5,3 DIN 433-St for mV output.
ESAM voltage dividers for direct current meters are built in insulated cases and are made to supply only one meter (100V, 1mA)
Accuracy class 1.

Galvanic Isolators

ESAM transducers family now includes a new series of galvanic isolators - developed with SMD technology - for analog and/or impulsive signals conditioning.
All the new modules of Z series are built in thermoplastic modular cases for DIN RAIL mounting with a width of only 17,5 mm. They can be powered from 19 to 40 Vdc or from 19 to 28 Vac as standard.
The S series modules are available with auxiliary power 115 and 230Vac only.
The wide range of models can provide the best solution for any requirements.

Communication Modules

The ESAM communication modules are the natural complement of the wide range of network analyzers, transducers and digital meters with RS485 serial output.
In fact they allow the hardware interconnection with galvanic insulation between RS485, RS422, RS232, the link with galvanic insulation with PROFIBUS-DP interface devices, the connection with Modbus TCP/IP protocol on Ethernet networks or with GSM/GPRS/3G modem.
With the enbedded Web Server, the EASYCONNECT solution and ARGOS Data Center it is possible to monitor and manage on-line all the variables with a simple web browser (ex. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.).

I/O Modules

ESAM I/O modules range is made to get all the advantages of RS485 serial lines and Modbus RTU protocol.
With these modules is useful to interface digital or analog inputs, digital or relais outputs and to produce analog signals at a distance too, substantially reducing the wiring costs.
All I/O modules are built in modular cases for rail DIN mounting.

Testing Systems

ESAM manufactures since 25 years measuring instruments and testing systems for electric machines (motors, transformers, ballasts), usually supplied to prestigious manufacturers.
We emphasize that our nimble structure allows short delivery time for the products here described and we confirm flexibility - availability - readiness to satisfy customized requests.

ViewESAM_TCP Software

ViewESAM_TCP data acquisition software, is a fully featured minimum cost HMI program for controlling and monitoring ESAM network analyzers and all other ESAM devices using Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP protocols.
Running under Windows 7/VISTA/XP (requires Microsoft .Net Frameworks to be installed on your PC) it allows the user to:
  • supports up to 1024 tags
  • display up to 50 screens with 20 readings each
  • interrogate several network analyzers at the same time
  • view the values of parameters and units
  • select variables to be read or written
  • display values of parameters and internal variables on graphs or trends
  • view the maximum and minimum values for each tag
  • log parameters and internal variables to a csv type file
  • display and analyse historical logged files on graphs
  • display and control alarms
  • the program configuration can be saved to disk
